Theater seating renovation for a sustainable theatrical fit-out
Bolzano Municipal Theater and Auditorium
On behalf of the Bolzano Municipal Theater and Auditorium Foundation, LCF carried out a comprehensive theater seating renovation project within the Bolzano Municipal Theater, covering a total of 815 seats.
The intervention went beyond a simple replacement of upholstery, encompassing a broader restoration and regeneration of the existing theater seats, aimed at extending their lifespan and enhancing their ergonomic and functional performance.
Restoration with new padding and upholstery for sustainable theater seating
Specifically, LCF carried out the complete removal of worn upholstery, structural inspection of the components, and replacement of the high-resilience internal padding, selected to ensure greater comfort, long-lasting durability, and preservation of the original seating characteristics.
The new fire-retardant upholstery, made with certified materials suitable for public spaces, was installed with particular attention to aesthetic quality and wear resistance, contributing to the overall renewal of the environment while preserving its architectural identity.
The intervention is part of a sustainable theater fit-out approach, where the recovery and optimization of existing structures represent a strategic choice, both economically and environmentally.
Thanks to this project, the Bolzano Municipal Theater now features a renewed seating system, capable of providing the audience with a superior comfort experience, consistent with contemporary standards for auditorium and theater seating.
