CUSTOM SEATING FOR INSTITUTIONAL SPACES
Government Building in L’Aquila
In the heart of L’Aquila, inside the Government Building — a symbolic site of the earthquake’s memory and the setting of the 2009 G8 images — LCF carried out the supply and installation of 94 K800XS seats.
The seats, upholstered in ruby-red fire-retardant eco-leather, were designed to integrate harmoniously within the hall, with a layout developed almost entirely in single or paired configurations. The room’s distinctive geometry, characterized by a very tight curvature radius, required a detailed study of the arrangement and footprint of each seat.
Custom auditorium seating for a curved institutional hall
To meet the project requirements, LCF developed a custom configuration featuring a tip-up seat system with aluminium components, a solution designed to enhance strength, reliability, and long-term durability in a context of intensive public use.
Each seat is also equipped with a polyurethane writing tablet integrated into the structure, maintaining a clean formal design and operational functionality.
This project represents a concrete example of LCF’s approach to designing seating for institutional spaces and auditoriums: adapting every technical detail to the architectural characteristics of the space, turning design constraints into coherent, functional, and durable solutions.
